Hey there! Thanks for reading our articles and for helping the planet!
Today we are going to write about a topic that affects all of us. In fact, we are sure that (at least one time) you have used a pair of plastic gloves for taking fruit and vegetables in a supermarket.
Well, now that you are reflecting on this, what do you think? Is it useful or not? Is this a waste?
As Siblings of the Nature group we think that yes, it's a big waste.
You take 2 gloves made by a polluting material for using them for 5/10 seconds and then you throw them away! This is a very stupid thing!
You could say that not touching fruit with hands is more hygienic... But it isn't like that!
A lot of people touched the products you are buying!
The farmer, the collectors, the employees, people that work in the shop and so on!
They don't use gloves, so why do people have to use them if the vegetables have been touched from everybody? Only for wasting plastic and polluting the environment? It doesn't have any sense!
Also, when you return home, you clean and wash the fruit you bought!
So: the next time you'll go to a market don't use plastic gloves! Use your hands and you'll help the environment!
If the shop assistant will tell you that you can't do it, try explaining her/him the reason why you are doing it!
Thanks a lot for saving the world!
